Body Scan
Too often the medical establish focuses on treatment of a disease instead of stopping
it in its early stages. We are encouraged by our insurance companies and the doctors they
hold sway over to not go the doctor until something is seriously wrong.
We all know the people (and you may be one) who would not go to the doctor if they
were bleeding out of their eyes. Often times this results in not missing a few days work
here and there but then having to quit our jobs over huge medical issues because we
didn't catch something in time.
People usually don't go to the doctor's office until symptoms of their problem have
reached an unmanageable peak. This is when tests are run and you find out that you're in
the late stages of something and that not much can be done.
Moreover, a lot of people really dislike the medical system in our country. We find
ourselves dealing with overcrowded and mismanaged medical providers. On top of that
once we submit our doctor's visits for insurance coverage our medical records are no
longer private.
Yes, there are laws that keep the insurance companies from disclosing our
information but that doesn't mean that some of our most intimate details aren't kept in
their records. These files can be subpoenaed, stolen or misused. What we do and discuss
with our doctors should be completely private.
At Executive Medicine of Texas we understand these concerns. We know how the
lives of busy professionals are and have developed a system of screening and medical
visits that plus many of these holes.

including the very important body scan.
Why Body Scans?
As part of our executive medical screening we will put you through a series of tests
including a body scan. Using a comprehensive CT scan to look inside your body and
organs we can get a better picture of any potential threats lurking inside of you.
We use the body scan to look for two of the biggest killers in this country; heart
disease and lung cancer. Almost 85% of lung cancer tumors are only discovered by chest
x-ray at a late stage where treatment is almost impossible. Likewise 93% of heart attack
patients could have benefited from a CT scan to identify problems.
Executive Medicine
We understand the busy lives of professionals like you and have designed a medical
practice that addresses your hectic life while also giving you the time and attention you
need with a doctor.
By identifying potential problems with our tests, body scan and comprehensive
physical exams we understand how to better address your medical issues before it is too
late.
Insurance
We do not file your insurance paperwork. Some of the tests and visits done here may
fall under what your insurance covers but it is up to you to file for that reimbursement.
We have found that a large majority of our clients prefer to pay out of pocket.
This keeps their medical records completely confidential and doesn't involve a third
party that might intentionally or unintentionally breach your privacy.
